About The Role
We are seeking a Tech Lead to guide the development of our deep phenotyping machine learning system, genetic sequencing workflows, and patient intelligence platform. This role is pivotal in designing and implementing applications that identify specific genetic diseases and provide comprehensive testing solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Leadership: Establish technical direction, assign responsibilities, and uphold software quality. Own features end-to-end, contributing to both frontend and backend development.
- Product Development: Design new technical solutions, develop the phenotyping product, and biotech data platform frontends using React & Typescript.
- API and Infrastructure: Create APIs, laboratory integrations, bioinformatic tooling, and ML infrastructure using Python, Django, PostgreSQL, and AWS services.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Product and Business Development teams to implement solutions that drive customer value and growth.
- Team Management: Conduct weekly 1:1s with 3 Full Stack Engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high standards.
Who You Are
- Experienced Developer: Advanced experience in software development, particularly with full stack code bases.
- Technical Lead: Recent experience overseeing and fostering the growth of a small team of engineers.
- Tech Stack Proficiency: Proficient in Python (Flask), Typescript, React, Django, GraphQL, PostgreSQL, AWS, Terraform, and GitHub Actions.
- Problem Solver: Track record of solving complex, ambiguous problems.
