Position Overview
We are seeking a Lead Full Stack Engineer to join our rapidly growing healthcare technology company. Reporting to the Director of Software Engineering, you will be responsible for delivering on data engineering initiatives towards our SaaS product roadmap. This role involves working closely with engineering leaders and peers to drive the overall performance of the engineering function.
Key Responsibilities
- Conceptualize, design, and build web applications by turning wireframes into effective code.
- Work through the complete software development lifecycle, from scratch to launch.
- Design user-based interactions through an impactful front-end architecture framework.
- Develop and design RESTful services and APIs, including data model and schema.
- Collaborate with architects, principal engineers, and technical product managers to analyze functional requirements and devise architecture designs that provide scalability, low latency, and high availability.
- Ensure system performance and stability by proactively identifying and diagnosing issues and rapidly deploying code to address production issues.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
- Oversee live operations of our SaaS offering, monitoring KPIs to find opportunities and threats.
- Stay up to date with the latest technologies and industry trends, leveraging them to drive platform innovation.
Who You Are
- 12+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a focus on backend development and some front-end experience.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field, or equivalent technical experience.
- Experience building applications using open-source frameworks for both on-premises and SaaS applications.
- Proficiency in Python, Flask/Django, and leading databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, or Postgres.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services, particularly cloud-native development.
- Experience developing APIs and shipping web applications with a user-centric mindset.
- Excellent communication skills to narrate data-driven insights and technical approaches.
- Experience with Agile software development methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
- Experience in a fast-paced environment with enterprise-class software release experience and SaaS-based short, quick product life cycles.
Preferred Qualifications
- Passion for Agile Methodology.
- Experience in healthcare.
- Familiarity with HIPAA/SOC/HITRUST requirements.
