Web Engineer

Join Our Team as a Web Engineer

Wealthfront is seeking talented Web Engineers to join our dynamic team. This role supports US-based remote work or a hybrid in-office setup in Palo Alto, CA. As a Web Engineer, you will be part of a cross-functional scrum team, designing and developing new products and features to help our clients grow their wealth.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with backend and mobile engineers, designers, and product managers to build and enhance features.
Triage and Resolve operational issues, ensuring smooth operation of mission-critical web systems and services.
Improve Infrastructure by working on web platform projects to enhance system health and performance.
Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to other engineers on the team.
Recruitment: Participate in recruiting activities such as interviewing.

Qualifications

Experience: 2-6 years in a web engineering role.
Technical Skills: Deep understanding of JavaScript, including ES5+, native DOM APIs, and at least one modern front-end framework (React, Vue, Angular).
Server-Side Frameworks: Experience with Ruby on Rails or similar frameworks (Express, Django) is a plus.
Design Collaboration: Experience working with design teams to build custom pages and components, focusing on page speed performance and responsive design.
Development Practices: Experience with test-driven development, continuous integration, and automated testing.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary: $140,000 - $185,000 USD annually, plus equity and a discretionary bonus.
