Role Overview
As a Senior Backend Engineer in Core Infrastructure at Webflow, you will focus on enhancing the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of our core product services. This role is crucial for supporting future growth and modernizing existing services. You will work remotely, primarily within the United States and Canada, and report to the Senior Engineering Manager.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain reliable cloud infrastructure services.
- Balance concerns of reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with product engineering teams to deliver innovative solutions.
- Participate in design discussions and code reviews.
- Improve on-call and incident response processes.
- Enhance engineering practices through automation and standardized processes.
Ideal Candidate
- 5+ years of experience in distributed systems in a customer-facing environment.
- Hands-on experience with multi-region cloud environments on AWS or GCP.
- Proficiency in container-centric architectures using Docker, Kubernetes, etc.
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or Pulumi.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with TypeScript, Node, or Go is beneficial.
