Software Engineer II - Full Stack (Remote U.S.)

About the Role

As a Software Engineer II at Trust & Will, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining our web applications. This position is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere within the U.S. You will be responsible for both front-end and back-end development tasks, ensuring the delivery of high-quality features that align with our business goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Development Tasks: Independently deliver front-end and back-end development tasks. Design and implement features across the technology stack to support marketing program needs.
• Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, designers, marketers, and developers to understand requirements, propose solutions, and deliver high-quality features aligned with business outcomes.
• Quality and Delivery: Ensure timely, high-quality delivery of ambitious goals. Participate in code reviews to promote a culture of learning and growth. Document technical solutions, APIs, and processes for clear communication and knowledge sharing.
• Technical Challenges: Tackle appropriate technical challenges and find innovative solutions. Ensure solution quality, testability, security, and integrity. Follow best practices to automate testing, protect user data, and prevent potential vulnerabilities.
• Continuous Learning: Stay informed about industry trends and advancements in full-stack development. Evaluate the potential application of new technologies within team projects.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in front-end web development.
• 1+ years of experience directly supporting marketing efforts.
• 1+ years of experience in back-end software development.
• Strong proficiency in Single Page Application front-end technologies such as React, VueJS, and Angular.
• Experience with back-end technologies, including NodeJS, ExpressJS API, MySQL, AWS, Redis, Postgres, and MongoDB.
• Proven experience working in software development teams and delivering high-quality products.
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies, test-driven development, best practices, and coding standards.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Bonus Points

• Experience working in a tech company and/or high-growth startup.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies and tools (Scrum, Kanban, JIRA).
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with paired programming.
• Experience developing cloud-native applications on AWS.
