Role and Responsibilities
As an Audio Machine Learning Intern, you will be part of a team dedicated to developing novel AI-powered audio processing algorithms. These algorithms must run in real-time on physical devices for applications such as voice pickup and hearing augmentation. You will collaborate with experts in machine learning, digital signal processing, software engineering, and psychoacoustics to prototype and implement new algorithms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prototype, implement, and evaluate machine learning algorithms.
- Curate and develop internal resources.
- Present findings regularly to a large, interdisciplinary audience.
- Integrate novel solutions into new and existing systems to deliver proofs of concept.
- Contribute to projects that may be shipped to Bose customers.
- Apply for patents or submit papers to top-tier AI and signal processing conferences.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Pursuing or recently completed a graduate-level degree in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Music Technology, or a related field.
- Familiarity with digital signal processing, linear algebra, statistics, and data structures.
- Practical knowledge of applied audio machine learning and digital signal processing.
- Experience with source separation, speech enhancement, and microphone array signal processing.
- Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow/PyTorch, and/or C++.
- Familiarity with TFLite, ONNX, and AWS stack is preferred.
- Strong communication skills for presenting work internally.
