About The Role
Tome is at the forefront of integrating advanced AI into the realm of storytelling. As we expand our horizons, we recognize the emerging field of LLM interaction layers, APIs, and prompt engineering as pivotal components of our AI/ML strategy. We are excited to announce a new role at the company, "Software Engineer - Emerging AI Products” dedicated to exploring and defining this innovative domain. This role combines software engineering expertise, rapid prototyping, and the art and science of prompt engineering, playing a crucial role in how we communicate with and direct AI systems.
What You'll Do
- Drive large impact on Tome's growth by shipping magical creation experiences that customers are eager to use.
- Develop and refine techniques for LLM engineering, focusing on how to effectively communicate with AI systems to generate desired outcomes.
- Work at the intersection of software engineering and AI, defining and pioneering the field of GenAI interaction layers at scale.
- Collaborate closely with the AI/ML team to understand the nuances of AI responses and how prompts can be optimized for better performance and user experience.
- Craft and develop rich application features using React & TypeScript
- Build backends that are bulletproof, scalable, and fast using Node, TypeScript, Aurora PostgreSQL
- Work closely with product designers to apply AI/ML for creating features that delight users and stimulate and augment creators' imagination
- Experiment with and implement scalable systems for prompt-based interactions with AI, contributing to Tome's innovative storytelling capabilities.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest research and trends in LLM engineering.
Who You Are
- You have a degree in Computer Science or a related field, with a strong foundation in software engineering principles.
- You possess experience in software development and have explored the field of prompt engineering, either through professional projects or personal experimentation.
- Familiarity with AI and ML concepts, especially in the context of natural language processing and generative AI models.
- Innovative thinker with a passion for exploring new fields and defining best practices in emerging domains.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
