Role Overview

As a Senior AI Engineer at Poggio, you will play a crucial role in extending and scaling our AI systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative AI capabilities that enhance our product offerings. Your work will involve improving AI system performance metrics and exploring new techniques from AI research to ensure our solutions remain cutting-edge.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with engineers and designers to deliver AI capabilities across the stack.
Systematically improve AI system performance metrics and design new metrics aligned with product initiatives.
Explore and apply emerging techniques from AI systems research.
Engage in a variety of tasks, including infrastructure, data pipelines, multi-modal indexing, retrieval, and more.

Required Skills

Strong analytical thinking and creative problem-solving abilities.
Product-oriented mindset with a track record of successful cross-functional collaboration.
Expert proficiency in multiple programming languages.
Solid foundation in mathematics, including probability, statistics, modeling, optimization, and logic.
Experience with unsupervised, supervised, and reinforcement learning techniques.
Knowledge of LLM observability and system performance evaluations.
Experience in building and optimizing information retrieval systems.
Understanding of data processing, retention, and privacy policies.
