Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of test automation suites using languages like Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Design and implement test automation frameworks with input from senior engineers.
- Drive increasing quality through innovation, automated test creation, and manual testing when required.
- Develop and support test automation frameworks, execution environments, manual testing, build systems, and reporting tools.
- Work with product and development teams to implement a full stack quality solution.
- Maintain documentation for internal developer consumption and project contributor documentation.
- Provide end-user and developer training on automation tools and frameworks.
- Investigate and resolve any framework, tool, or execution of environmental issues affecting our services.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Expertise in programming languages such as Node/JavaScript, Java, or Python.
- Experience with system and unit testing frameworks (e.g., TestNG, Cucumber, Robot Framework).
- Experience in automated testing on mobile or living room (OTT) devices.
- Excellent problem-solving and collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with SDLC tools such as Jira and Confluence, version control systems (e.g., Git), and CI/CD tools and pipelines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a testing role with a mix of manual and automation duties.
- Experience building test frameworks using page object modeling and industry standard drivers such as Selenium or Appium.
- Experience in validation of APIs that drive web, mobile, or living room (OTT) devices.
- Experience developing/testing applications on cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Device Farm, Sauce Labs).
- Experience working with Agile methodologies.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experience.
Location
This position is based in Santa Monica, CA, with a salary range of $77,300 - $108,500 per year. The base pay offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
