Join Our Development Team
As a Backend Developer at arculus, you will be part of a dynamic and innovative team responsible for designing and maintaining backend systems for our autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) - arculees. You will work in a cross-functional, agile, international, and distributed workforce, creating the best possible experience for our users.
Responsibilities
- Develop Backend Software: Utilize NestJS and TypeORM to build robust backend solutions.
- API Design and Implementation: Work closely with different teams to design and implement APIs.
- Database Management: Implement efficient database code, including queries, procedures, and views.
- System Architecture: Create, improve, and maintain the overall system architecture of our software stack, including frontend, backend, and infrastructure.
- DevOps Tooling: Utilize tools such as Docker, NPM, and GitLab to enhance development processes.
- Collaboration: Work effectively with colleagues across multiple cross-functional scrum teams to deliver high-quality features in a regular release cycle.
- CI Pipeline Maintenance: Maintain our continuous integration pipeline.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience: Proficient in backend development with TypeScript, NestJS, TypeORM, and PostgreSQL.
- Skills: Understanding of authentication and security concepts, experience with Docker, and common front-end development tools such as NPM.
- Language: Fluent in written and spoken English.
Desired Skills
- Experience: At least 3 years of building web experiences with evidence of exceptional ability.
- Passion: A strong interest in software engineering and technology, particularly mobile robots.
- Self-Motivation: Ability to work independently and in cooperation with a scrum team.
- Adaptability: Ability to quickly adapt to changing work topics.

- Experience with Angular, Grafana, and Rust.
