Your Objectives & Role

• Develop and Enhance Backend Systems: Work on an amazing product with both B2B and B2C aspects at the intersection of mobility and property technology. Develop and enhance our backend, serving as the operating system for car parking.
• CI Pipeline Improvement: Contribute to the improvement of our CI pipelines for both backend and IoT deployments.
• Monitoring and Scaling: Improve our monitoring system for our services with Datadog and assist in scaling up our systems for managing thousands of parking lots.
• Engineering Culture: Shape our engineering culture by employing modern software engineering practices, focusing on writing clean, well-tested, and efficient code. Continuously deploy code into production.

Your Expertise, Skills & Mindset

• Real Seniority: Not defined by years of experience but by a strive for continuous improvement, direct impact on the business, and ownership.
• Proficiency in Multiple Fields: Be a pro in more than one field (Python, C++, Node.js, and more).
• Backend Frameworks: Strong experience in real production projects with high throughput. Proficient in backend frameworks such as NestJS, Flask, Fastify, FastAPI.
• Language Skills: Excellent written and spoken English skills (level C1). German language proficiency is not required.

Technologies We Work With

• Backend Development: Event-driven backend development in Python and NestJS, following a microservice architecture.
• Frontend Development: Frontend monorepo with Turbo, pnpm, changesets, and storybook, primarily using Vue.js.
• Infrastructure: Amazon RDS, DynamoDB, S3, container orchestration with Kubernetes, and CI/CD using GitLab.
• Cloud Services: Infrastructure provisioning on AWS using Terraform and leveraging the serverless framework on AWS Lambda for high-throughput endpoints.
