About the Role
Chiliz is seeking a Blockchain Engineer - EVM Specialist to join our dynamic team of developers. As a leading blockchain fintech provider for sports and entertainment, we are looking for a talented individual who shares our passion for distributed systems and their scalability. You will be part of the team responsible for building the Chiliz chain that powers the Socios platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop Web3 interfaces that interact directly with the blockchain.
- Mentor and guide other engineers in advancing their skills and knowledge in blockchain development.
- Maintain and improve existing products.
- Collaborate closely with engineers and product managers on new features.
- Ensure code quality through tests, adhering to best practices.
- Participate in code reviews.
- Anticipate scalability and performance issues.
- Provide technical and functional proposals.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in developing blockchain applications.
- Must be based in Europe.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to mentor and convey complex technical concepts effectively.
- Good knowledge of EVM compatible chains.
- Experience with EVM clients (e.g., go-ethereum/geth, bsc-geth).
- Understanding of low-level tokenomics and consensus mechanisms (e.g., Parlia, Clique, PoW, Lachesis, BFT).
- Proficiency in Solidity or Vyper.
- Familiarity with best practices for securing smart contracts and app development.
- Experience with tools like Hardhat, Truffle, Foundry, Brownie, Slither, Solhint.
- Knowledge of decentralized infrastructure components such as IPFS, Swarm, and Whisper.
- Proficiency with basic tools: Git, VSCode, JIRA.
- Ability to work remotely, independently, and collaboratively in a team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to explore new things and a curious mindset.
