About The Role

Chainlink decentralized oracle networks provide tamper-proof inputs, outputs, and computations to support advanced smart contracts on any blockchain. As the ecosystem continues to grow at an explosive pace, we are building the infrastructure to further secure the reliability of our networks and incentivize good behavior.

As an engineer on the Economics Team, you will develop highly impactful products that further secure Chainlink oracle networks to provide best-in-class off-chain data to the blockchain ecosystem. You will work closely with all functions at Chainlink, from engineering, operations, finance, and marketing to build smart contract-driven products end to end.

Your Impact

• Design and own the end-to-end delivery of large components of the economic protocols powering the Chainlink ecosystem.
• Work closely with fellow engineers to build the end-to-end experience for your products, including but not limited to dApps, data services, smart contracts, monitoring, and tooling.
• Partner with product, researchers, and economists to plan ahead and ensure continuity of work over several quarters.
• Collaborate with non-technical stakeholders to ensure you build products that deliver a positive user experience and meet business constraints.

Requirements

• Successful experience designing, building, and scaling a production service.
• Experience owning multi-quarter projects, including planning, work breakdown, communication of progress, dependencies, and risk mitigation.
• Experience working directly with product, stakeholders, and non-technical partners.
• Focused on building great products and willing to learn a range of technologies to do so.
• Computer science fundamentals and systems design.

Desired

• At least 5+ years of professional engineering experience working in a collaborative product-driven environment.
• Experience partnering with product to plan and successfully deliver against a multi-quarter roadmap.
• Experience in Solidity, TypeScript, React, SQL, Golang.
• Experience developing smart contracts that secured meaningful value on-chain.
• Experience working with a team located across multiple time zones.
• Active participant in the blockchain ecosystem as a user.

This role is location agnostic anywhere in the world, but we ask that you overlap some working hours with Eastern Standard Time (EST). We are a fully distributed team and have the tools and benefits to support you in your remote work environment.
