Job Description
The Visual Innovation Team (VIT) at Amazon is seeking a talented Business Analyst to join our dynamic team. Our mission is to delight and inform customers with relevant, trustworthy, and engaging visual media and experiences across their shopping journey, while minimizing costs for Amazon and selling partners. VIT is a global organization continually innovating and setting new industry standards for media of millions of products, pushing beyond the boundaries of traditional images through computer vision and machine learning techniques, and creative processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with program managers, business intelligence engineers, and data scientists to build and deliver data insights across Imaging, including 2D, 3D, and Video.
- Foster a common understanding of data with various partner teams across the company.
- Utilize deep business expertise to contribute to the team's business strategy.
- Develop flexible solutions to anticipate and adapt to changes in the business and support stakeholders beyond the initial problem.
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in a business analyst, data analyst, or similar role.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders.
- 3+ years of experience analyzing and interpreting data with SQL, including temp tables, CTEs, joins, case statements, windowed functions, and aggregate functions.
- 3+ years of experience presenting data with Excel charts and tables, such as pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, and chart selection.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, engineering, analytics, mathematics, statistics, or a related technical or quantitative field.
- Experience working with AWS products and environments, such as Redshift and S3.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills complemented with the ability to problem-solve independently.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $143,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
