Reddit is seeking an experienced Data Science Manager to lead a team of talented data scientists and analysts. This role is pivotal in uncovering insights, driving strategic initiatives, and optimizing growth across Reddit’s diverse user base. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional partners, including Product, Engineering, Design, and Marketing, to build and improve systems that drive user growth.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a thought-partner for product managers, engineering managers, and leadership from your respective product domain.
• Communicate and shape the roadmap and strategy for Reddit by identifying actionable and impactful insights through deep-dive analyses and analytics insights.
• Be proactively involved in all phases of product development, including ideation, exploratory analysis, opportunity sizing, metrics design, offline modeling, experimentation, and decision-making, post-launch monitoring/measurements.
• Focus on the collection and quality of underlying data, including experiment design and analysis, data deep dive, and working on ETLs, reporting dashboards, and data aggregations needed for business tracking and/or ML model development.

Required Qualifications

• Experience in driving product strategy and roadmaps through analytics, ideally for consumer technology products and marketplaces.
• Proven track record of building, leading, and developing high-performing product analytics teams, with at least 3+ years of leadership experience as a people manager.
• Expertise in causal inference, A/B testing experimentation, metric definition and governance, and product strategy.
• Experience in enabling analytics self-serve for cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python/R for hands-on analysis.
• Collaborative attitude, natural curiosity, and strong evidence-backed product opinions.

Pay Transparency

This position offers a base salary range of $206,700 to $289,400 USD. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible to receive equity in the form of restricted stock units.
