Job Description
DataRobot is seeking a Deep Learning Researcher to join our AI research team. This role is pivotal in advancing our generative AI capabilities and integrating them into our product offerings. As a leader in Value-Driven AI, DataRobot empowers organizations to accelerate AI from idea to impact. Our AI platform is the only complete AI lifecycle platform that interoperates with an organization’s existing investments in data, applications, and business processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify technology gaps in the industry and develop strategic research plans to address these gaps.
- Execute long-term research plans to advance the state-of-the-art in AI, resulting in scientific publications and advanced development prototypes.
- Collaborate with technical experts within DataRobot and with customer AI teams globally.
- Foster collaboration and knowledge-sharing across organizational boundaries.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Expertise in deep learning and generative AI approaches, including pre-training foundation models and fine-tuning of LLMs.
- Proficiency in the scientific Python ecosystem, including PyTorch, JAX, TensorFlow, NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, and Scikit-learn.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Strong software design and peer code review skills.
- Passion for research and innovation.
Qualifications
- PhD in computer science, data science, artificial intelligence, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in Python engineering and machine learning with a focus on deep learning.
- Experience with retrieval augmented generation and related strategies.
- Proven track record of publishing academic papers as a lead author or essential contributor.
