As the Maps Rendering team, we use our engineering skills and curiosity to push the boundaries of what’s possible with interactive maps and how people use location technologies in their daily lives. We work on a state-of-the-art platform for map interaction and visualization used by millions of people around the globe.
What You'll Do
We're looking for an Engineering Manager who is passionate about developing and enhancing core components for our current and future implementations of the maps and navigation ecosystem here at Mapbox.
In This Role, You Will
- Mentor and Develop Talent: Inspire and support engineers, fostering their career growth and development.
- Promote Collaboration and Innovation: Cultivate a culture of collaboration, inclusion, and data-driven decision-making.
- Drive Strategic Objectives: Lead the team in achieving company, product, and team goals, ensuring alignment and cohesion.
- Define Product Roadmaps: Partner with Product and Engineering Teams to establish the roadmap for Maps products.
- Shape the Vision: Help envision the evolution of our rendering engines and contribute to business and product planning.

- Graphics Programming Experience: Familiarity with OpenGL, WebGL.
