Your Role
As an Engineering Manager at Nosto, you’ll tackle one of the biggest challenges brands and retailers face today: offering customers relevant and authentic shopping experiences that drive results. You will work as a hands-on manager driving a consolidation of infrastructure and technologies while developing new cutting-edge capabilities for our customers. This role involves touchpoints in infrastructure, front-end, and back-end development. We are transforming towards a single-page app architecture and working to consolidate two platforms together. You will have the support of your colleagues and central data, site reliability, AI/ML, and core teams in achieving the team objectives.
Responsibilities
- Line manager for a team of software engineers
- Hands-on development together with the team
- Providing technical leadership and guidance for the team
- Collaborating with stakeholders and other teams on cross-functional projects
What We Expect
- Good people skills and organizational abilities or strong potential in them.
- Pragmatic, self-driven approach to work and a continuous learning mindset
- 7+ years of experience in hands-on development with at least a senior level competence with emphasis on backend development.
- Excellent understanding of building and operating systems
- Fluent spoken and written English.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in Java and Node.js ecosystem-based full-stack development
- Experience working with AWS
- Experience in React, Vue, or other front-end technologies
- Willingness to contribute to a PHP-based web stack
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
