Frontend Engineer with React Native and TypeScript

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Frontend Engineer to join our team at Drops, a Kahoot! company. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and optimizing TypeScript code for our React Native applications. You will collaborate closely with backend developers, designers, and product managers to build and deploy features efficiently. Your work will ensure the quality of our frontend through testing, code reviews, and automation.

Key Responsibilities

Write and optimize TypeScript code for React Native apps.
Collaborate with backend teams using AWS Lambda.
Work with CI/CD processes using Buildkite and GitHub Actions.
Collaborate with designers and product managers to quickly build and deploy features.
Ensure the quality of the frontend through testing, code reviews, and automation.
Build and maintain scalable, efficient front-end code for mobile and web applications.
Document your work for transparency and future development.
Use tools like Cypress for testing and automation to ensure quality.
Engage in regular communication with the team through Slack and Confluence.

About You

You are a driven and passionate individual with a knack for creating clean, efficient code. You enjoy working within a product team to bring new features to life while also improving processes and tools. You have experience building scalable, high-quality frontends using TypeScript and React Native. You are proactive, able to recognize problems, spot patterns, and propose improvements.

Requirements

Experience working with TypeScript and React Native.
Familiarity with cloud services, preferably AWS.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience working in agile product team environments.
