Paynovate, a leading e-money institution in the financial services sector, is seeking a passionate and skilled Full Stack Engineer to join our dynamic team in Brussels. As a Full Stack Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and user-friendly web applications. You will work closely with our Product, Design, and DevOps teams to deliver top-notch solutions that meet the needs of our users.

Your Responsibilities

• Develop and Maintain Applications: Use Node.js, TypeScript, and React to build and maintain web applications.
• Design and Implement APIs: Create RESTful APIs and microservices to support our applications.
• Build User Interfaces: Develop responsive and interactive user interfaces using modern front-end technologies.
• Collaborate with Designers: Work with UX/UI designers to translate design wireframes into high-quality code.
• Optimize Applications: Ensure applications are optimized for speed, scalability, and security.
• Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Troubleshoot and Debug: Identify and fix bugs in existing software.
• Code Reviews: Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and to specification.

Your Profile

• Educational Background: Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Technical Expertise: Proficient in Node.js, TypeScript, and React.
• Backend and Frontend Skills: Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices, databases (SQL and NoSQL), HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript ES6+.
• Version Control: Familiar with Git.
• Cloud and DevOps: Experience with AWS Lambda, CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions), and automated testing frameworks (JEST).
• Database Management: Experienced with Prisma ORM for database consultation.
• Containerization and Orchestration: Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Monitoring Tools: Familiar with CloudWatch or Datadog.
• Problem Solving: Strong problem-solving skills, especially in complex sectors like financial systems.
• Regulatory Environment: Understanding of security principles and compliance regulations relevant to financial software.
• Language Skills: Fluent in English, with proficiency in French or Dutch being a plus.
• Team Player: Strong team cohesion skills and willingness to work from our Brussels offices at least 2/3 times per month.
