Software Engineering Intern

About the Role

As a Software Engineering Intern at Perpay, your primary responsibility is to learn and gain real-world experience in a fast-paced tech startup environment. Over the course of 10-12 weeks, you will work alongside our engineering team, contributing to our codebase and helping to develop features within our existing product roadmap. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects across our three main products, ensuring that no two days are the same.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to our codebase and assist in the development of new features.
• Test and release features into production.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, design, data science, and operations.
• Develop skills necessary to succeed in a tech startup environment.

• Languages & Frameworks: JavaScript, React, Redux, Python, Django, Flask
• Tools & Platforms: Kubernetes, AWS, Docker

What You’ll Bring

• Currently enrolled in or will receive a Bachelor’s or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline with an expected graduation date between winter 2025 – summer 2026.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better.
• Knowledge and experience with some or all of our tech stack.
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies, with a strong foundation in software engineering fundamentals.
• A focus on writing clear, readable, and testable code.

Bonus Points

• Enrollment in a Master’s Degree or advanced technical degree.
• Previous work experience in a technical field.
