Job Description
We are seeking a Lead Engineer to join our team and take charge of the entire lifecycle of the Gleam dating app. This role is crucial for building a scalable app that meets the needs of our growing user base. You will work closely with a cross-functional team to define and design app features, provide prototypes, and integrate the application with backend tools such as cloud services, APIs, and push notifications.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of the Gleam dating app.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and design app features.
- Provide prototypes and proofs of concept.
- Integrate the application with backend tools such as cloud services, APIs, and push notifications.
- Maintain code quality, organization, and automation.
- Work with the CEO and growth team to optimize the app for user retention.
Qualifications
- Experience in building and maintaining iOS apps written in Swift.
- Proficiency with the Firebase platform (Firestore/Auth/Messaging/Storage).
- Experience leading teams of engineers.
- Familiarity with Apple's design principles and interface guidelines, with a keen eye for UX.
Bonus Skills
- Experience with WebRTC.
- Experience with automated regression testing.
- Experience building Node.js services.
- Experience building Android apps.
Location
This position is based in Los Angeles, California, USA. Candidates must be located in the US and available to start immediately. We offer flexible options for part-time roles that can transition into full-time positions.
