About the Role
Glean is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Product Backend team. This role is pivotal in developing and launching user-facing features that enhance our AI-powered work assistant platform. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to create scalable and maintainable backend systems.
Responsibilities
- Feature Development: Oversee the development of greenfield features from inception to implementation, experimentation, and launch.
- Collaboration: Work closely with designers, product managers, data scientists, and other engineers to understand the problem space and create elegant solutions.
- API Architecture: Architect REST APIs backed by stable, scalable server-side implementations to maximize web client flexibility.
- Code Quality: Write robust, efficient, and maintainable code that is easy to read and test.
- Mentorship: Mentor junior engineers and learn from experienced team members.
Qualifications
- Education: BA/BS in Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience: Proven experience in building and shipping scalable backend features.
- Skills: Proficiency in Golang and Java, with experience in building distributed CRUD level functionality using both SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Mindset: A proactive and positive attitude with a user-centric and empathetic approach to building products.

Location
This position is based in Palo Alto, California, with a hybrid work model allowing for both on-site and remote work.
Salary
The base salary range for this position is $140,000 to $265,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. Additional compensation may include equity and benefits.
