Role Overview
As the Engineering Manager for Core Experience, you will lead a team of up to 8 Android engineers focused on Tinder’s Profile and Post-Match experiences. Your leadership will directly influence the development of user-facing features that are essential to the Tinder experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of Android engineers.
- Define and manage key metrics and objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute the strategic roadmap.
- Drive technical, design, and product discussions across the organization.
- Establish and guide the technical direction of the team.
What You'll Need
- 7+ years of experience in native Android app development.
- 1+ year of experience in mobile engineering team leadership.
- Proficiency in Kotlin and familiarity with various architecture patterns like MVVM, VIPER, MVI, and RIBs.
- Experience in shipping large-scale mobile apps.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to inspire your team.
Nice to Have
- Experience with both Android and iOS development.
- Familiarity with modern building tools like Gradle and Bazel, and CI/CD processes.
- Experience with modern UI toolkits like SwiftUI and Jetpack Compose.
- Ability to manage legacy code and drive improvements.
This is a hybrid role requiring in-office collaboration twice a week in our Los Angeles office. The position offers a competitive salary range of $170,000 - $210,000 per year, reflecting the responsibilities and location of the role.
