About the Role
As a Lead / Staff Full Stack Software Engineer at Agoda, you will be a key player in our engineering team, responsible for developing and maintaining our web and mobile platforms. This role involves working on both front-end and back-end systems, ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end. You will work in a hybrid environment, with the opportunity to occasionally work remotely.
Responsibilities
- Lead and design major technical projects and initiatives across teams and departments.
- Develop high-volume platforms using cutting-edge technologies like React and GraphQL.
- Mentor and coach other software engineers, promoting agile and scrum practices.
- Maintain ownership and responsibility for mission-critical systems.
- Stay updated on industry trends and drive technical innovations.
Skills and Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in web application development.
- Proficiency in client-side frameworks such as React, Angular, VueJS.
- Strong HTML/CSS skills and an excellent understanding of TypeScript and JavaScript.
- Experience with agile methodologies, analytics, A/B testing, and continuous delivery.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
Additional Qualifications
- Experience with NoSQL technologies, queuing systems, and CI/CD solutions is a plus.
- Knowledge in physical architecture at scale and experience in a data-driven company.
- Experience with iOS and Android platforms is beneficial.
Location
This position is based in Bangkok, Thailand, with relocation provided to successful candidates. You will be part of a diverse team that values creativity, collaboration, and innovation.
