About the Role
Agoda is seeking a Lead / Staff Full Stack Software Engineer to join our team in Bangkok. This role is crucial for our technology organization, working alongside individual contributors and senior leadership. As a key player, you will be involved in hiring, mentoring, and leading major architectural changes.
Responsibilities
- Maintain ownership and responsibility for mission-critical systems.
- Hands-on development using cutting-edge technologies like React and GraphQL.
- Mentor and coach other software engineers.
- Contribute to agile and scrum practices.
- Design and lead crucial technical projects and initiatives across teams and departments.
What You'll Need to Succeed
- 7+ years of experience in web application development using client-side frameworks such as React, Angular, VueJS, etc.
- B.S. in Computer Science or a quantitative field; M.S. preferred.
- Experience with agile methodologies, analytics, A/B testing, and/or feature flags.
- Strong HTML/CSS skills and an excellent understanding of object-oriented JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Passion for new technologies and a desire to use the best tools available.
It's Great if You Have
- Knowledge in physical architecture at scale, building resilient, highly available solutions.
- Experience with NoSQL technologies, queuing systems, containers, and Dockerization.
- Hands-on experience in CI/CD solutions.
- Proficiency in modern coding and design practices.
- Experience in a data-driven company analyzing and working with Big Data.
