Lead / Staff Full Stack Software Engineer - Bangkok

About the Role

Agoda is seeking a Lead / Staff Full Stack Software Engineer to join our team in Bangkok. This role is crucial for our technology organization, working alongside individual contributors and senior leadership. As a key player, you will be involved in hiring, mentoring, and leading major architectural changes.

Responsibilities

Maintain ownership and responsibility for mission-critical systems.
Hands-on development using cutting-edge technologies like React and GraphQL.
Mentor and coach other software engineers.
Contribute to agile and scrum practices.
Design and lead crucial technical projects and initiatives across teams and departments.

What You'll Need to Succeed

7+ years of experience in web application development using client-side frameworks such as React, Angular, VueJS, etc.
B.S. in Computer Science or a quantitative field; M.S. preferred.
Experience with agile methodologies, analytics, A/B testing, and/or feature flags.
Strong HTML/CSS skills and an excellent understanding of object-oriented JavaScript and TypeScript.
Passion for new technologies and a desire to use the best tools available.

It's Great if You Have

Knowledge in physical architecture at scale, building resilient, highly available solutions.
Experience with NoSQL technologies, queuing systems, containers, and Dockerization.
Hands-on experience in CI/CD solutions.
Proficiency in modern coding and design practices.
Experience in a data-driven company analyzing and working with Big Data.
