About the Role
Agoda is seeking a Lead / Staff Full Stack Software Engineer to join our team in Bangkok. This role is crucial for our engineering department as it involves both hands-on development and leadership responsibilities. You will be working on high-volume platforms using cutting-edge technologies like React and GraphQL, and your work will directly impact the user experience of our global customer base.
Responsibilities
- Maintain ownership and responsibility for mission-critical systems.
- Build and optimize high-volume platforms using technologies such as React and GraphQL.
- Mentor and coach other software engineers.
- Contribute to our agile and scrum practices.
- Design and lead technical projects and initiatives across teams and departments.
What You'll Need to Succeed
- 7+ years of experience in web application development.
- Proficiency in client-side frameworks such as React, Angular, VueJS, etc.
- Strong understanding of HTML/CSS and object-oriented JavaScript.
- Experience with TypeScript.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies, analytics, A/B testing, and continuous delivery.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
It's Great if You Have
- Experience with physical architecture at scale.
- Knowledge of NoSQL technologies and queuing systems.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD solutions.
- Proficiency in performance optimization and modern coding practices.
- Experience in leading teams and solving large system problems.
