Overview
PayPal is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to join our Global Data Science organization. This role is pivotal in developing advanced machine learning solutions to enhance our product and marketing strategies. You will work with large-scale data and leverage state-of-the-art machine learning techniques to solve complex business problems.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement machine learning models to improve customer experience and optimize marketing campaigns.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business challenges into data science problems.
- Automate and productionalize data solutions in partnership with engineering teams.
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on data analysis.
Qualifications
- Master's degree or equivalent experience in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
- Experience with machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow and PyTorch.
- Familiarity with big data technologies such as GCP and Hadoop.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with business and engineering partners.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in recommendation systems, ranking, or marketing domains.
- Knowledge of deep learning, reinforcement learning, or graph modeling.
Work Environment
This position is based in San Jose, CA, and follows a hybrid work model with three days in the office and two days remote.
