Snowflake is at the forefront of the data revolution, committed to building the world’s greatest data and applications platform. We are looking for a talented and motivated Machine Learning Intern to join our research team and work in the NLP/LLM/Document Understanding field.
What You Will Do
As a Machine Learning Intern, you will:
- Apply your skills to help us build cutting-edge technology, such as LLMs, that will be integrated into the Snowflake platform.
- Participate in various stages of R&D of new cutting-edge LLMs.
- Provide meaningful contributions to the NLP/LLM/Document Understanding research field.
- Work closely with supervisors (manager and mentor) and receive detailed direction without micromanagement.
- Be embraced as a full member of the Snowflake Machine Learning team.
What We Offer
- Paid, full or part-time (minimum 20 hours per week) internships in the Machine Learning team.
- Post-internship career opportunities, including full-time positions and/or additional internships.
- Direct access to supervisors and feedback throughout your internship, culminating in a final evaluation.
What We Expect
- Currently pursuing a BS, MSc, or PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Expertise with Python and deep learning libraries, particularly PyTorch.
- Experience in the NLP field is a plus.
- Strong coding skills and knowledge of algorithms.
- Familiarity with GPUs, CUDA, and low-level optimizations is a plus.
- Curiosity and enthusiasm for open-ended, complex problems.
- Ability to cooperate in a dynamic, innovative research team.
- Some track record in conferences from the AI/ML/NLP field is a strong asset.
Duration
- The internship duration is flexible, ranging from 3 to 12 months, with a flexible start date.
