About the Role
As a Medior/Senior Full Stack Developer at Alliander, you will play a crucial role in the energy transition by designing, building, and implementing applications for energy projects. You will work with a team to develop a scalable, reliable, and secure application on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform, using technologies such as Python, TypeScript, and Angular.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and Develop Applications: Create applications for energy projects using Python and TypeScript (Angular).
- Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with the Product Owner, development team, and Solution Architect to establish and review functional and technical specifications.
- Code Quality and Reviews: Deliver high-quality code and provide technical guidance to the development team. Participate actively in code reviews and technical discussions.
- Documentation: Ensure thorough documentation of developed solutions.
Your Impact
You will be part of the Liander team, responsible for managing and maintaining energy networks such as electricity and gas. You will contribute to the development of a new application on AWS Lambda with an underlying RDS Postgres database and an Angular Front-end. Your work will support millions of residents in the Netherlands by ensuring a reliable energy supply.
Required Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in complex IT projects.
- Experience in designing and implementing full-stack applications.
- Strong programming skills in Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, or similar (5+ years).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Nice to Haves
- Knowledge of AWS cloud architecture and best practices for scalability, reliability, and security.
- Experience with microservices and Docker containers.
- Familiarity with ArcGIS or geographic systems.
- Experience with event-driven systems, such as Kafka.
