About the Role
As a Senior API-Management Platform Engineer at Alliander, you will be the driving force behind the integration of our new API-Management platform with various systems. This platform will feature a self-hosted gateway, and your infrastructure knowledge will be crucial. You will bring AWS expertise and ensure that this knowledge is also built within the team. In addition to the API-Management platform, Entra ID will be used for token issuance. With this new platform, we aim to elevate the maturity level of API usage within Alliander.
Key Responsibilities
- Integration Development: Create integrations between various systems and the API-management platform using AWS services.
- Team Mentorship: Mentor team members to enhance their skills in AWS services.
- Portal Development: Develop additional portal functionality for client registrations in Entra ID that are not available in the platform UI.
- Platform Implementation: Implement and configure the new API-management platform.

What We Offer
- Competitive Salary: €4,955 to €7,079 per month based on a 38-hour workweek.
- Individual Choice Budget (IKB): 18% of your gross annual salary, which can be used for extra days off or additional salary.
- Year-End Bonus: 5.94% of the annual salary.
- Remote Work Options: Flexibility to work from home.
Qualifications
- Education: HBO work and thinking level.
- Technical Skills: Strong scripting skills in Typescript, experience with GitHub Actions, and knowledge of API security principles and authentication frameworks such as OIDC, JWT, and SAML.
- Experience: Experience with event-driven concepts and Kafka, observability, lifecycle management, and a security-driven mindset.
- Language: Proficiency in Dutch.
