About the Role
As a Mid-Level Backend Engineer at Casumo, you will be part of a dynamic team that drives our online gaming platform. You will build scalable, highly-available, and robust systems, ensuring their continuous delivery. This role involves working alongside other backend engineers to develop, deploy, and maintain features of our platform, focusing on our Product platform built using Domain-Driven Design (DDD), Command Query Responsibility Segregation (CQRS) techniques, and a microservice architecture.
What You Will Do
- Build and maintain scalable and robust backend systems.
- Work on our current Product platform using DDD and CQRS techniques.
- Collaborate in an Agile cross-functional team of no more than 10 people.
- Engage in continuous learning and ownership of your projects, contributing to a backend engineering culture.
Who You Are
- You have at least 4 years of relevant experience in backend development.
- You possess practical knowledge of Java, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and relational databases like MySQL.
- Experience with transaction-heavy systems, Docker, distributed systems, messaging, microservices (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka) is preferred.
- Knowledge of CQRS, DDD, TDD, NoSQL databases, event sourcing, and CI/CD practices (e.g., Jenkins, Kubernetes, GCP) is advantageous.
Projects You Might Work On
- Integrating with various game providers, sports bets ticket systems, and payment providers.
- Developing new promotional campaign mechanics for players.
- Supporting our expansion into new regulated markets and evolving regulatory requirements.
- Enhancing our continuous delivery infrastructure for microservices.
