Role Overview

As a Principal Software Engineer at Farmless, you will be at the forefront of our software development efforts, starting with the expansion of our platform, BrewBase. This role requires a deep understanding of both the physics and biology underlying our processes, as well as the ability to build robust software solutions around them. This is a unique opportunity for full stack developers who are eager to apply their skills to create revolutionary infrastructure with a global impact akin to the Haber-Bosch process.

Key Responsibilities

Architect and expand BrewBase, our custom-built platform using technologies such as Supabase, React, Typescript, Next.js, ShadeCn, and OpenSearch.
Visualize and integrate data from various sources to enhance our platform's capabilities.
Automate internal processes through programming to improve efficiency.
Develop software for our new fermentation tanks using PLCs.
Integrate tank physics and modeling into BrewBase to optimize performance.
Generate actionable insights for our team and propose new automation ideas.

Requirements

Proven track record in outstanding software engineering.
Full stack development experience with Typescript, and proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases.
A passion for learning and exploring fields such as fermentation, food production, and modeling.
Excitement about our mission to revolutionize food production.

Bonus Experience

Experience in modeling physical systems.
Background in biology, fermentation, food, or physics.
Experience working in a deep tech startup environment.
Proficiency in programming PLCs for industrial applications, including OPC.
Skills in data visualization and machine learning.
