We are looking for a talented Senior React Native Engineer to join our dynamic team in Amsterdam.

About the Role

As a Senior React Native Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing our mobile applications that support greenhouse operations worldwide. You will work closely with our team and greenhouse growers to translate user requirements into sleek, user-friendly interfaces. Your expertise in React Native and Typescript will be essential in building high-performance, offline-first mobile apps.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Source team and greenhouse growers to develop innovative products.
• Translate Figma designs and prototypes into working prototypes, MVPs, and final products.
• Work closely with end-users to understand workflow and UX requirements.
• Architect complex, offline-first, event-driven, and reactive apps with clean state semantics.
• Build, test, and deploy React Native front-ends using Typescript and Realm.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to set up back-ends and design a common data model shared between the backend (MongoDB) and frontend (Realm).
• Define and implement robust APIs for use in the frontend.

What We Are Looking For

• 4+ years of experience in Frontend Engineering with a focus on mobile development.
• 1+ year of experience with React Native.
• Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on product development.
• Proficiency in Typescript and JavaScript.
• Knowledge of software engineering best practices, including testing, CI/CD, and deployments.
• Familiarity with computer science concepts such as data structures and algorithms.
• Proven experience in state management (Redux) and building offline-first applications.
• A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques.

Bonus Points

• Experience with Realm, MongoDB, and Redux Toolkit.
• Experience with the Detox testing framework.
• Experience with high-performance rendering of complex UIs.
• Familiarity with native mobile development using Swift and Kotlin.
• Experience in developing single-page web applications using React/Vue.js/Svelte.
