Overview
GitLab is seeking a Product Manager to join our Delivery team, focusing on enhancing our release management and deployment processes. As our platforms expand, you will spearhead the development of best practices for releasing new versions of GitLab on both GitLab.com and self-managed platforms. This role involves managing semantic versioning, updating users about changes, and handling breaking changes efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Prioritize and strategize for GitLab’s release cycles.
- Collect requirements from customers and users to enhance deployment and release processes.
- Manage the Delivery group’s backlog effectively.
- Enhance GitLab’s capability for safe and downtime-free deployments.
- Collaborate with other SaaS Platform groups to ensure seamless operations.
Skills and Experience
- Strong communication skills with the ability to handle complex requirements.
- Solid technical and software architecture knowledge.
- Experience with SaaS applications at scale.
- Familiarity with the full DevOps lifecycle.
- Proven ability to work in cross-functional teams.
