About the Role
We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team in Munich. As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in automating and optimizing our deployment processes, managing and scaling our cloud infrastructure, and ensuring the security and efficiency of our systems. You will work closely with our development team to enhance our software solutions, which are central to our mission of becoming the most people-centric camper rental service.
Key Responsibilities
- Automate and Optimize Deployment Processes: Increase deployment speed and reduce manual interventions, aiming for minimal deployment errors.
- Manage and Scale Cloud Infrastructure: Ensure system availability of over 99.5%, respond quickly to infrastructure issues, and maintain cost efficiency in resource usage.
- Implement and Monitor Security Protocols: Prevent security breaches and data loss, regularly update and review security tools and protocols.
- Collaborate with Development Teams: Provide proactive solutions to improve the development process and receive positive feedback from developer teams.
- Maintain and Update Tools and Technologies: Keep tools like GitLab, Docker, and Ubuntu Server up-to-date and seamlessly integrated.
- Research and Evaluate New Tools and Technologies: Identify and propose tools that can optimize the DevOps process, leading to measurable improvements in efficiency and productivity.
Your Profile
- Expertise in Tools & Technologies: Proficient in GitLab, Docker, Ubuntu, and other relevant technologies.
- Scripting Skills: Proficient in at least one scripting language such as Bash or Python for writing and optimizing automation processes.
- Learning Mindset: Motivated to continuously learn, explore new tools and technologies, and adapt to the ever-changing tech landscape.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to develop simple solutions for complex problems.
- Nice-to-Have: Experience with nx.dev, coder.com, or similar tools.
