About the Role

Join Fidelity Investments as a Quantitative Development & Data Science Intern within our Asset Management Technology division. This internship offers a unique opportunity to apply your analytical and technical skills to assist in financial decision-making processes. You will work closely with Quantitative Research Analysts, Portfolio Managers, and other investment professionals to develop bespoke solutions that enhance investment processes.

Responsibilities

Build high-quality, robust, and efficient analytical solutions to improve investment processes.
Gather requirements through dialogue and conceptualize them using programming languages.
Create packaged solutions for use by investment professionals.
Develop documentation for solutions and provide insights on future extensibility.

Education and Experience

Candidates should be pursuing a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree, graduating in 2025-2026.
Demonstrated projects in full stack software engineering.
Academic or intellectual interest in financial markets.
Excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills.

Skills and Knowledge

Proficiency in full stack software engineering, including Python, R, SQL, Java, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and C++.
Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
Interest in and experience with Financial Engineering or Machine Learning concepts.

Location

This internship is based in Merrimack, NH, with potential opportunities in Boston, MA, and Jersey City, NJ.

Compensation

The base salary range for this position is $50,000 - $70,000 per year, depending on job responsibilities, geographic location, and candidate’s relevant experience.
