Optiver is seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial quantitative trader to join our team in Amsterdam. As a Senior Quantitative Trader specializing in Statistical Arbitrage, you will play a key role in developing and executing trading strategies using both in-house and external data. Your work will involve managing the risk of a complex portfolio of financial instruments, leveraging and contributing to our in-house built libraries and comprehensive market datasets.
What You'll Do
- Develop and execute trading strategies in cash equity markets, focusing on statistical arbitrage.
- Utilize extensive mathematical and statistical modeling skills to identify opportunities in large data sets.
- Prototype and iterate quickly to refine trading strategies.
- Collaborate with a team of like-minded professionals to achieve trading goals.
- Manage risk and ensure robust trading performance with scalability.
What We're Looking For
- Strong understanding of pricing, execution, and risk management in cash equity markets.
- Exceptional analytical skills and experience in alpha research and covariance risk book management.
- Programming experience in languages such as Python, Java, and C++ is a strong plus.
- Passion for problem-solving and a drive for results.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
