Position Summary
Join Walmart as a Senior Staff Software Engineer in our GenAI team, where you will lead the integration of AI into our discovery pages, enhancing user experience and developer productivity. About the Team
Our team collaborates with U.S. stores and eCommerce to empower team members and merchants with technological innovations. We focus on improving customer experience across all platforms, including online and in-store.
What You'll Do
- Lead and mentor a team of 4-10 engineers.
- Drive web integration development on a Next.js React application.
- Collaborate on medium to large projects to deliver high-level design and innovative solutions.
- Optimize AI models for performance and accuracy.
- Set up and configure RAG systems for enhanced information retrieval.
- Evaluate new AI technologies and tools.
- Implement architectural patterns and perform design and code reviews.
- Translate project requirements into technical solutions.
- Collaborate with leaders on high-priority initiatives.
- Utilize industry research to align our technology with best practices.
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in web development with a focus on React and Node.js.
- 2+ years in a leadership role managing technical teams.
- Proficiency in Python and experience with machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure) and infrastructure technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
