About the Role

As a Senior Application Security Engineer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our security posture. You will lead initiatives to improve our bug bounty program, conduct complex application security reviews, and integrate threat modeling practices into our Software Development Lifecycle. Your expertise will guide development teams in secure coding techniques, ensuring our applications are robust against security threats.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive Bug Bounty Program: Take initiative and drive changes in our bug bounty program, positioning us as a leading authority in the field.
• Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead and influence positive changes across the Security organization.
• Application Security Reviews: Conduct the most difficult or highly complex application security reviews and threat modeling.
• Documentation and Training: Own documentation and procedures surrounding application security reviews and lead by example.
• Security Training: Evangelize security training with development teams and integrate threat modeling practices into the Software Development Lifecycle.
• Program Metrics: Build and drive program-level activities through the use and publication of metrics and dashboards.
• Mentorship: Serve as a mentor to other AppSec team members, providing guidance and support.

What You’ll Need

• Security Knowledge: Familiarity with common security flaws and ways to address them (e.g., OWASP Top 10).
• Technical Skills: Basic understanding of network and web-related protocols (such as TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, HTTPS).
• Problem Solving: Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Leadership: Proven ability to create new security programs and deliver successful results.
• Communication: Highly effective communicator with well-honed influencing and negotiating skills.
• Language Skills: Written and spoken English at least on B2 level.
