About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Data Scientist to join our Analytics and Data Science team in Prague. In this senior role, you will go beyond building models – you will partner with stakeholders across the business to identify strategic opportunities and leverage your expertise in machine learning, statistical analysis, and data visualization to design and implement innovative solutions that solve real-world problems and propel our business forward.

Responsibilities

• Lead and Execute Projects: Lead and execute data science projects from conception to deployment, ensuring they align with business goals.
• Model Development: Design, develop, and implement machine learning models to solve complex business problems and predict future outcomes.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate data into actionable strategies.
• Data Management: Clean, transform, and analyze large datasets from various sources, ensuring data quality and consistency.
• Infrastructure Development: Develop and maintain a scalable and robust data science infrastructure.
• Mentorship: Mentor junior data scientists and share your expertise to foster a collaborative and innovative data science team.
• Communication: Communicate complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience in a clear and concise manner.

Requirements

• Educational Background: Graduate degree in physics, computer science, engineering, mathematics, statistics, or related field; alternatively, a comparable industry career with a proven track record of successful AI/ML/DS projects in production.
• Technical Skills: Experience in frameworks or libraries for model development such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, Vertex AI, PySpark, MPI, Pandas/NumPy/SciPy/Scikit-learn, Stan, R, MATLAB.
• Cloud Services: Experience in using cloud services and platforms, such as GCP, Azure, AWS.
• Analytical Skills: Curiosity, strong analytical mind, willingness to learn and desire to make an impact.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Teamwork: Ability to work independently and in a team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in continuous integration/deployment (CI/CD) best practices.
• Experience with experimental design.
