Job Description
Join ARAG, a leading family-owned insurance company in Germany, as a Senior Backend Developer. We are looking for a talented and experienced developer to design and implement microservices using Java and Spring, and to manage deployments in an OpenShift cluster.
Responsibilities
- Design and Implement Microservices: Work closely with business units to understand requirements and design microservices that meet these needs. Implement these services using Java and the Spring framework.
- RESTful Communication: Develop RESTful APIs to facilitate communication between services and external partners.
- Database Management: Persist data effectively using appropriate database systems.
- Docker and OpenShift: Configure Docker images and manage deployments in an OpenShift cluster.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal departments and external partners to design and implement solutions. Provide advice and support to ensure successful project delivery.
- Process Optimization: Analyze existing processes, identify areas for improvement, and design optimized processes for service delivery.
- Interface Management: Take responsibility for managing essential interfaces to and from ARAG.
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated with new technical and business developments to enhance your skills and knowledge.
- Technology Evaluation: Participate in evaluating new technologies, processes, and techniques to support the team effectively.
Requirements
- Experience: Several years of practical experience in Java development.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Git/Bitbucket, microservices architecture, and Docker.
- Mindset: A passion for technology, motivation, and a conceptual approach to problem-solving.
