About the Role
Magic is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to enhance the security of our web3 wallet solutions. This role is pivotal in safeguarding Magic's tools and products against emerging cybersecurity threats. You will be instrumental in identifying and mitigating security risks, conducting assessments, and leading investigations.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to securing our SDLC, including secure coding practices, CI/CD pipelines, and regression tests.
- Lead and grow our vulnerability management program across cloud infrastructure (AWS) and endpoint machines (macOS).
- Collaborate with engineering teams to harden frontend and backend systems using Next.js, TypeScript, AWS, and Python.
- Foster extensive experience securing cloud microservices platforms like Kubernetes.
- Manage external bug bounty programs and contribute technically to mitigations.
- Support compliance with standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2 Type 2, and GDPR.
- Build a security mindset across the organization by providing guidance and best practices.
Qualifications
- 6+ years of security engineering or software security experience in frontend or backend environments.
- Proficiency in programming and scripting languages such as Python, Golang, or TypeScript.
- Excellent incident management skills.
Bonus Points
- Experience with SIEM tools like OpenSearch or Splunk.
- Experience in building authentication flows including WebAuthn OAuth.
- Knowledge of Web3 protocol or smart contract security auditing.
