Overview
Join Luma AI as a Senior Backend Engineer specializing in Payments, where you will play a pivotal role in building and enhancing our payments infrastructure to support millions of users. This position is based in our Palo Alto office, offering a dynamic and innovative environment.
Role & Responsibilities
- Design and architect systems for a seamless payment experience on web and mobile platforms.
- Collaborate with Product Engineering, Growth, and Finance teams to ensure successful monetization.
- Implement and monitor automated systems for payment confirmations, subscription renewals, and transaction failures.
- Develop analytics tools to monitor performance and inform business strategy.
- Build automation scripts to reduce manual billing processes, enhancing efficiency and accuracy.
- Establish quick resolution processes for billing issues.
- Optimize payment processing for speed, security, and reliability.
- Guard systems against payment fraud and other financial risks.
Experience Required
- 5+ years of engineering experience, with a focus on payments and consumer products.
- Strong skills in Python and a deep understanding of backend systems and databases.
- Experience with JavaScript and React for front-end development.
- Prior experience in startup environments is highly valued.
