Role Overview
As a Senior Data Engineer at Webflow, you will be instrumental in building a scalable, reliable, and high-performance data platform. This role involves developing event-driven data infrastructure on AWS, building data pipelines using Kafka and Spark streaming, and creating a data lakehouse architecture. You will work on optimizing data replication, storage, and querying processes to enhance data reliability and accessibility.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain event-driven data infrastructure on AWS.
- Design and implement data pipelines for real-time and batch data processing.
- Create and manage a data lakehouse architecture.
- Optimize data storage and access patterns for efficient querying.
- Develop data models, schemas, and standards for event data.
- Collaborate with software engineers, product managers, and data scientists to drive data-driven decision making.
- Mentor and inspire a team of engineers.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in building large-scale data platforms.
- Proficiency in Kafka, Spark, and other streaming data processing frameworks.
- Experience with cloud storage solutions and data warehousing technologies like Redshift, BigQuery, or Snowflake.
- Strong knowledge of SQL, Python, and Java.
- Familiarity with dimensional modeling techniques and ETL processes.
