Job Overview
Join Nexer Insight as a Senior Data Engineer and take on the challenge of improving the on-premises data platform for Data Science purposes for our client, a world leader in manufacturing trucks, buses, construction equipment, and marine and industrial engines. This role is focused on leveraging open-source technologies to evolve the data platform to its next version, enhancing data engineering, analytics, machine learning, and AI capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Drive, design, and build engineering projects related to field test data, simulation, and rigs.
- Develop solutions using Python, Spark, Airflow, Druid, Ray, RDBMS, and NOSQL technologies.
- Ensure the architecture is streaming-first, aligning with modern data processing methodologies.
Qualifications
- 5+ years' experience as a Data Engineer on projects with an open-source stack.
- Commercial experience with Spark and extensive experience with Kafka.
- Working experience with Airflow and familiarity with JupyterLab, Apache Druid, and Ray.
- Fluency in English (C1 level) to effectively work in a multinational team.
Location
This is a fully remote position, with occasional team meetings requiring your presence in Poland.
