Job Description
As a Senior Engineering Lead, you will be responsible for leading the engineering team through a significant transformation from PHP monoliths to a new microservice architecture. Your main tasks will include:
- Design and Implementation: Lead the design and implementation of microservices using Java/Kotlin or Go, RabbitMQ or Kafka, PostgreSQL, and Node.js.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits.
- Team Coaching: Coach and support the team in Agile Software development best practices.
- Code Review: Conduct code reviews with peers to optimize logic, find bugs, and identify bottlenecks.
- Incident Management: Handle service monitoring, alerting, and incident mitigation using tools like New Relic and Grafana.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Java/Kotlin and/or Go Software Engineer.
- 3+ years in a leadership role.
- Strong skills in MySQL, PostgreSQL, and handling large data volumes.
- Proficient in microservices and cloud architectures (Google Cloud Platform, Docker).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
- Fluent in English (Intermediate level or higher).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
