About The Role
As a Senior Engineering Manager at Happy Money, you will be responsible for developing and building products that provide an exceptional customer experience. Your role will involve managing the architecture through the frontend experiences using a technical stack primarily consisting of Java Spring Boot, React, GraphQL, AWS, Kafka, and DynamoDB. You will help develop, mentor, and evaluate engineering staff, and participate in all phases of the software development life cycle, including QA, deployment, bug-fixing, and production support. This includes managing a 24/7 production pager for critical issues. Collaboration with the team to architect, build, and document products that improve our members’ lives is a key part of your role.
About You
You have at least 8 years of professional experience with full-lifecycle software development and 2 years managing a team of engineers in a team lead or direct manager fashion. Your skills include solid demonstrable skill in two or more of the following languages: Javascript, Java, Scala, Ruby, Python, C#, C/C++. Experience developing and integrating with public APIs, implementing microservice-based architecture, and strong hands-on experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases are essential. You are passionate about software and technology, adaptable, and willing to take on multiple roles as needed.
