Holidu, one of the fastest-growing travel tech companies, is seeking a talented Senior Java Backend Developer to join our dynamic team in Munich, Germany. Our mission is to revolutionize the vacation rental industry by providing seamless booking and hosting experiences. With a recent €100 million Series E funding, we are expanding our team to enhance our financial systems.

Your Role

As a Senior Java Backend Developer, you will be part of the Bookiply Finance Tech team, working alongside Frontend/Backend Developers, Product Managers, and QA specialists. Your primary focus will be on developing and maintaining applications that handle financial topics such as payments, revenue, VAT calculations, payouts, and invoices. You will ensure that our systems are scalable and compliant with the needs of the finance team and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain backend services and cloud technologies.
• Ensure applications are highly scalable and capable of processing a high volume of properties and bookings.
• Mentor and coach junior team members.
• Build features and tools for customers and internal teams.
• Deploy applications using Jenkins on our AWS-hosted Kubernetes cluster.
• Monitor systems with Grafana, Prometheus, and ELK stack, proactively resolving issues.
• Apply best practices and continuously learn and share knowledge with peers.

Your Profile

• Degree in Computer Science or related field with professional development experience.
• Proven track record of delivering reliable and maintainable software.
• Strong experience in designing object-oriented software and understanding best practices.
• Experience in writing testable code and refactoring legacy code.
• High motivation to learn and experiment with modern technologies.
• Proactive, responsible, and eager to share knowledge with junior team members.
