About the Role
Custodia Bank is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to join our Digital Assets team. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere within the United States. As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing software for our Go backend, focusing on custody solutions for blockchain assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement secure backend code to custody blockchain assets.
- Write reusable, testable, idiomatic, and principled code.
- Read and write existing code and technical documentation.
- Perform quick and efficient debugging.
- Conduct regular code reviews.
- Collaborate with the team to drive clarity and rapid product evolution.
- Advocate for more efficient, high-value, and high-quality code delivery.
- Mentor less-experienced peers through pairing, code reviews, and empathetic coaching.
Primary Requirements
- 4+ years of experience as a Senior Backend Engineer.
- Substantial experience with Go or other modern, statically-typed languages.
- Experience building multiple products, particularly backend web applications with complex features.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with protobuf/GRPC is desirable.
- Experience and interest in Bitcoin and blockchain technology is desirable.
- Comfortable having the camera on during meetings.
